What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

In order to process your application, you are required to submit certain personal data as part of your application.

As optional you may send us also further information about the position you would like to apply for, desired salary or any other information you consider as relevant for your application.
We do not share your personally identifiable information with any third parties except if required to do so by the law or required by the local authorities to the extent exclusively necessary to comply with legal requirements. We fully respect and comply with the applicable Data Protection Law, as valid and enforceable in the Republic of Mauritius which is fully compatible with European data protection laws. We use appropriate procedures to protect and safeguard the personal data you give us. Access to your personal data will be shared only with our clients and their authorized representatives.
The personal data you submitted to us will be used to assess your profile and expertise in job opportunities at our clients. You always have the right to review the personal data we received from you. You can request an overview of your personal data by emailing us at contact@talentontap.mu.
If the personal data we have for you is incorrect, we will update it at your request. You can also ask us to remove your personal data from our database by sending an email to contact@talentontap.mu.
However, we may need to retain certain information, for example for legal or administrative purposes, such as record keeping or to detect fraudulent activities.
If one of our clients employs you, we will share your relevant personal data with the representatives of the client. Your personal data collected during your application period will become part of the client’s personnel records.
In case our client does not employ you, we may nevertheless continue to retain and use your personal data, unless being instructed otherwise by you, in order to consider your engagement for any new positions. In this respect Talent on Tap Ltd and its clients may retain your personal data for a period of 2 years following termination of the job application procedure, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
